GEELONG PHOTOGRAPHY – River’s Gift in Wonderland Ball 2017

June 9, 2017

As you know we have a focus on helping organisations in our community. We had the honour of officially photographing the 2017 River’s Gift in Wonderland Ball in Geelong recently. For those of you that don’t already know, River’s Gift is the largest source of non-government funding for SIDS research in Australia. To date, River’s Gift has generated over $600,000 to help find a preventative cure and raise SIDS awareness.

Their aim is to breathe life into SIDS Research, Awareness and Education. SIDS is still the biggest killer of children between the ages of 1 month and 1 year of age – with a pledge to SOS – Stamp Out SIDS once and for all!

The Winter Wonderland ball held here in Geelong was a HUGE success and the amount raised from this amazing event was a WHOPPING $51,569! YES, you read correctly, $51,569!!! The room was meticulously styled by Igby Productions and Total Event Co and set up with a ‘Wonderland theme. The food and catering was handled by the talented team from Truffleduck with other local vendors contributing to the night.

There were a multitude of sponsors, partners and supporters who helped bring this event together, which just goes to show that with the help of many kind and caring people, great things can happen, all with the aim of ensuring no one has to experience what Karl, Alex and their families have had to endure through the loss of their precious boy River. We are honoured to have stood alongside other generous businesses in Geelong and surrounds that contributed to the success of the evening. We particularly loved this message we received following the event and we know that giving to others in our community is valued and appreciated:

“Ask Sara what she does and she’ll say ” I am a photographer of people” but let us tell you this, she is so much more than that! Sara looks beyond the shot, she looks for the moments. The moments that convey messages. In this world of social media she understand that first impressions count and creating authentic imagery is what she specialises in, what separates her. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the images of River’s Gift in Wonderland. Sara volunteered her time with a smile on her face and our expectations were beyond exceeded when we saw the final images today. Thank you again Sara, very very much appreciated”.

Thanks to all involved in this fabulous event, for injecting your generosity and spirit into making the night a HUGE success.
